Fun on the Farm.

If you’re looking for a fun and interactive day out with little ones, Landsdale Farm in Darch is the perfect spot! Just 25 minutes north of Perth city, this not-for-profit farm, run by Strive Community Services, offers a hands-on experience with friendly farm animals, daily activities, and plenty of space to explore.

Landsdale Farm is home to a variety of adorable animals, including goats, pigs, alpacas, chickens, sheep, geese, turkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, a donkey, ponies, and cows. You can even say hello to the farm’s newest additions: Oakley and Docker, the semi-miniature cows, and Pippy and Jessie, the miniature ponies. The animals are well cared for, friendly, and always happy to meet visitors—especially if you bring along some animal feed, which you can purchase at reception!

One of the highlights of visiting Landsdale Farm is their set daily schedule, so you always know what’s on and can plan your visit around the activities your little ones will love most.

  • 9:00 AM, 10:45 AM & 1:30 PM – Tractor Cart Rides: Take a scenic ride around the farm.
  • 10:00 AM & 12:45 PM – Cuddly Time in the Red Barn: Hold a fluffy bunny or a tiny guinea pig.
  • 11:30 AM – Animal Enrichment: Groom and pet the ponies.

With plenty of opportunities to interact with the animals, kids will be entertained and engaged throughout the day.

Beyond the animals, there’s plenty more to explore. The Three Little Pigs’ houses—made of straw, sticks, and bricks—are a hit with kids who love acting out the classic fairy tale. The gnome trail is a fun scavenger hunt through the gardens, and the duck pond is a peaceful spot to enjoy nature.

There are also two playgrounds, a sandpit, and even a dinghy for little adventurers to climb into!

After all the excitement, Kerrie D’s Café is the perfect place to unwind. They serve barista-made coffee, paninis, pastries, and hot chips, making it easy to grab a bite before heading home. If you prefer, you can bring a picnic and enjoy lunch in the gardens or fire up one of the free BBQs for a farm-style feast.
