Build Your Marketing Skills with Tourism Council WA – Sunset Coast Tourism Workshops
The City of Wanneroo, as part of the Sunset Coast Alliance with the Cities of Joondalup and Stirling, has partnered with Tourism Council WA to deliver a series of workshops designed to support tourism and hospitality businesses across the Sunset Coast region.
These practical sessions 1/2 day sessions will help operators build their skills in customer service, social media marketing, content creation, audience engagement, analytics and emerging AI technologies.
Participants will gain tools and strategies they can immediately apply to their business.

Using Social Media & Customer Service to Improve the Customer Journey
For many travellers, their experience with your business begins online. This workshop explores how customer service and digital marketing work together to influence the customer journey, generate more bookings and strengthen your business reputation. Topics include customer engagement, online reviews, managing feedback and creating positive experiences both online and in person.

Intermediate Social Media for Tourism Businesses
This workshop will dive deeper into using the main social media platforms more masterfully, including making use of analytics and other data, improving your content creation strategy, using advertising on social media effectively, and more.

Practical AI for Social Media Marketing
Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot and Claude can help you work smarter, and this workshop will show you the best ways to incorporate this technology while maintaining your authentic voice.

More than just training, these workshops are an opportunity to meet and connect with other local operators, exchange ideas, and learn about exciting opportunities happening across the Sunset Coast. You’ll hear about upcoming regional marketing campaigns, partnership opportunities, and ways to get involved through the Sunset Coast Alliance.
Attendance has been heavily subsidised, with tickets available for just $25 per person, per workshop.
