Play Trails is a free interactive app by Nature Play WA, designed to make exploring the outdoors even more exciting. It combines the joy of a nature walk with the thrill of a digital scavenger hunt! As you wander along the Yanchep National Park trail, you’ll unlock hidden challenges, fun quizzes, and creative photo prompts , earning points (and bragging rights) as you go.
Expect surprises along the way as you discover fascinating stories about Yanchep’s wildlife, natural wonders, and Noongar culture.
How to Join the Adventure
It’s easy to get started — just follow these simple steps:
Download the free PLAY TRAILS app from your mobile phone’s app store.
👉 Tip: Open your phone camera and scan the QR code (available on site or the City of Wanneroo website) to jump straight to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Open the app and search for Yanchep National Park — or simply redeem the code “YANCHEP.”
Head to the McNess Visitor Centre to start your journey. Follow the trail signs to unlock your first location and challenge!
As you move along the trail, you’ll score points for answering questions, completing activities, and snapping awesome selfies.
A Trail for All Ages
This interactive trail is an easy 1.2km walk — perfect for families, kids, or anyone who loves a relaxed wander with a twist of fun. Most people complete it in 45–60 minutes, making it a great mini adventure during your park visit.

After your quest, reward yourself with something delicious! Pop into Chocolate Drops, the park’s charming tearoom, for handmade chocolates or a scoop of creamy ice cream, the perfect ending to your Play Trail adventure.
